Pathways 2 Resilience
• Donegal County Council and Cill Ulta successfully applied as a consortium to become fully funded participants in the EU Mission on Adaptations P2R Programme which kicked of in September 2024.
• There was 147 application
• We are one of the 40 that were successful
• This project is supporting these regions to create transformative climate resilience strategies through learning.
• Our funded project is called “Building Rural Biobased Rural Resilience (BRBR)
• There is a framework that we will follow called the Regional Resilience Journey Framework (RRJ) and this will inform P2R its outcomes
• There are three elements to this Project and they are :
• Prepare the ground - where we establish a baseline
• we build a shared vision - resulting in a Climate Resilience Action Strategy
• Design Adaptation Pathways - Resulting in Climate Resilience Action Plan and Investment Plan
This will finish with a Baseline Report, A Climate Resilience Strategy and a Climate Action Plan and a Financing and Investment Plan - all of which will be specifically designed for the Falcarragh/Gortahork DZ region
